UK Business Acquisition & Investment
We acquire businesses built for the long term.
Harbour One Group acquires and invests in established UK businesses, building a diversified portfolio for sustainable long-term growth.
Built through acquisition.
Grown with purpose.
Harbour One identifies established businesses with strong foundations and looks for opportunities to support their next stage of development, focused on long-term ownership, people, operational discipline, investment and collaboration.
Long-term ownership
We invest to hold and build, not to move quickly through a transaction.
People first
We respect the knowledge, relationships and culture already built within a business.
Operational discipline
We bring structure and resources that support sustainable, considered growth.
What We Do
A disciplined approach to acquisition and ownership.
From identifying the right opportunity through to long-term stewardship, our approach is built around four consistent principles.
Acquire
We identify established businesses where there is a strong foundation and an opportunity to build for the future.
Invest
We provide ownership, resources and strategic support to help businesses progress.
Integrate
Where appropriate, we bring acquired businesses into the wider Harbour One Group while preserving the strengths that made them successful.
Grow
We focus on sustainable, long-term growth rather than short-term transactions.
Individual businesses. One long-term group.
Every business we acquire keeps its own foundations, people and identity. What changes is context: it becomes part of a wider, deliberately connected group, able to draw on shared resources, disciplined governance and a longer investment horizon than it could sustain alone. The formation you saw at the top of this page is a visual expression of that idea: independent structures, considered connection, one durable group.

Acquisition Criteria
Looking beyond the balance sheet.
We evaluate the whole business: financial performance, people, customers, reputation, management, operational strength, market position and long-term potential.
We focus on established businesses operating across the United Kingdom.
We consider businesses with annual turnover broadly between £120,000 and £20 million.
We generally look for businesses generating £100,000 or more in EBITDA, although opportunities are assessed individually.
We are interested in businesses with an established trading history and credible underlying operations.
We particularly welcome conversations with independent and owner-managed businesses.
We welcome conversations with owners considering retirement, succession or the next chapter for their business.
These are guidelines rather than absolute requirements; every opportunity is assessed individually.
Our Approach
A considered path from first conversation to long-term growth.
Every acquisition follows the same disciplined process, designed to protect the interests of the business, its people and its owner.
Discovery
We identify businesses that fit our investment criteria.
Initial Conversation
We begin with a conversation to understand the owner and the business.
Evaluation
We assess financial performance, operations, customers, people, market position and future opportunities.

Considered process
A structured, transparent process from first conversation to completion.
Sector experience
